Status Update
University Affiliation of the College
The Karimganj Law College authority is punctual in its endeavor to upgrade and update the affiliations of the college from the affiliating Assam University Silchar. The college has the university affiliation updated up to last Academic Session i. e. 2019-20. The college has also applied for the affiliation of the university in due course of time for Academic Sessions 2020-21 and 2021-22. However, the affiliating Assam University has not yet issued the Affiliation order for the pending applications. This delay may be due to COVID – 19 situation. The College authority has already completed its duty for the update of affiliation of the institution and expect that the university authority will also do the needful to update the affiliations further in no time. The copy of last Affiliation order by the Assam University, vide Letter No. AUD/C- 41/96/735 dated 5TH July 2021, has been attached herewith for verification.
Approval of the Bar Councis
The authority is punctual in its endeavour to upgrade the approval of the college from the Bar Council of India. The college has updated approval of the Bar Council of India up to 2019-20 Academic Session. The college authority has already initiated the process of updating BCI Approval further. However, the Bar Council of India is waiting for the update of the university affiliation in order to update its approval. The College authority has already completed its duty for the update of the institution and expect that the authorities will also do the needful to update the affiliations further. The copy of last order updating the BCI approval vide Letter No. BCI: D: 702 : 2021 (LE/Std. 27th June, 2021) 26.07.2021 has been attached for verification.
Inspection Report of the College
The Regulatory Authorities i. e. College Development Council, Assam University, Silchar and the Bar Council of India have recently visited the college just before the start of COVID-19 Lockdown. Both the authorities expressed their satisfaction with regard to matters of college administration, Academic upgradation and development of Infrastructure. Accordingly, both the authorities have extended the academic affiliation of the college as well as professional approval of the degree conferred by the institution. However, the authorities have recommended for further improvement of the college and the college authority is committed to all-round improvement of the institution.
