Moumita Bhattacharjee is a Lecturer at Karimganj Law College with a strong academic background in the field of Law. She completed her B.A. LL.B. (Hons.) and LL.M. from the Department of Law, Assam University. Her LL.M. dissertation was titled “Dimensions of Artificial Intelligence in the Criminal Justice System: A Critical Analysis.” She is currently pursuing her PhD in Law on the topic “Usage of Artificial Intelligence in the Justice Delivering System: A Critical Study with Reference to Barak Valley of Assam,” with an empirical approach to examining the use, awareness and impact of Artificial Intelligence in the justice delivery system by Judges and Legal Practitioners.She has a keen interest in legal research, teaching and emerging developments in the field of law. She has gained practical exposure to various areas of law through internships and professional engagements with courts and legal practitioners. She has experience in legal drafting and legal research and has interest in civil, criminal, constitutional, and family law and also has co-authored in book chapters and peer reviewed journals on the usage of Artificial Intelligence in the field of law. She has participated in seminars, conferences and other academic activities and is actively involved in guiding and mentoring students in various co-curricular and extra-curricular activities.
