Tasnim Ferdous Charlee is an Assistant Professor at Karimganj Law College, Sribhumi, Assam. She completed her B.A., LL.B. (Hons.) with specialisation in Intellectual Property Law from Amity University, Kolkata and LL.M. with specialisation in Criminal Law from Assam University, Silchar. Her LL.M. dissertation was titled “Analysis of Law of Criminal Defamation in Consonance with Right to Freedom of Speech and Expression.” She is currently pursuing her Ph.D. in Law at Assam University, Silchar, focusing on “Intersection of Personal Laws and State Intervention in Child Marriage Prevention: A Study of Sribhumi (Karimganj) District of Assam.” She is also UGC-NET qualified. She has gained professional exposure through internships with NGOs and law firms as well as experience as a legal content writer. Her research work includes publications on child rights and marital rape. She has also presented research papers at various national and international seminars on contemporary legal issues, including Geographical Indication, Artificial Intelligence, Child Marriage and Child Rights.
